A minimum of 5 years involved in HR generalist responsibilities within a
manufacturing environment is required. This includes experience with
employment law and employee relations (FMLA, ADA, EEO, harassment
investigations and termination processes.

There must also be significant experience with staffing, interviewing and
recruiting utilizing various methods. The candidate must also have
knowledge of administering benefits and compensation and a very hands on
approach with the employee population, including handling questions on
benefits and compensation issues.

The candidate must have had exposure to or assisted with training related
issues and dissemination of prudent information, i.e. affirmative action,
safety issues, policy and procedure changes, etc.

The candidate must also have the ability to coordinate and implement company
changes and introduce new programs into the facility. It is required that
the individual have well developed organizational and leadership skills, be
a strong team facilitator and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable.

Specific responsibilities of Human Resources Leader:

The HR Leader will be accountable for all HR functions facility-wide (200
f.t., 100 p.t. labor force employees) working with corporate headquarters as
needed. They will be a key member of the management team along with
management staff from Operations, Engineering, Sales and the facility
Controller for short term planning, annual strategic planning and goal
setting and general business meetings.

The HR Leader will be proactive in establishing direction and growth for the
department to maximize effectiveness. The HR Leader will be responsible for
analyzing existing department processes and update and improve them. This
individual will also facilitate training as needed.

The HR Leader will maintain an open door policy for all employees and
provide an approachable and professional demeanor along with a constructive,
positive attitude. The goal for this leader is to work actively within the
culture of the facility and improve the HR related functions with more
structure and organization.

The HR Leader and their assistant will administer benefits and compensation
to all employees working with corporate headquarters. This position is
responsible for all staffing, interviewing and recruiting efforts including
orientation for all positions facility wide.

The HR Leader will be responsible for handling all employee law and employee
relations matters and will be required to conduct full investigations for
harassment and termination purposes. It is also the responsibility of this
individual to effectively communicate and interpret company policies,
programs, procedures and any changes to them. This position also requires
regular interface throughout the facility at all levels to ensure a stable
climate within the organization. Travel approximately 10% for business
purposes.
